Thomastik and Jargar String Clinic

Where: Stringers of LondonThomastik and Jargar Strings are pleased to invite you to attend a dedicated String Clinic on Thursday, 19th March 2026 at 2:00 PM at Stringers of London. This event offers a professional platform for advancing your understanding of string selection and performance.
The clinic will feature:
1. Expert guidance from Thomastik-Infeld and Jargar Strings specialists, complemented by experienced professional string educators
2. An in-depth analysis of how string materials, construction, and tension influence tone, projection, and tactile feel
3. Practical advice on selecting appropriate strings, addressing issues such as corrosion, tuning stability, and wolf tones
4. Hands-on opportunities to experience leading string sets, including Dominant, Peter Infeld, and Infeld Red/Blue
5. An interactive Q&A session tailored to your repertoire and performance requirements
Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to trial various strings on their own instruments with support from Thomastik and Jargar staff. This trial period operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and spaces are limited.

- Enhance tonal awareness and performance consistency
- Build confidence in selecting the optimal strings for each instrument
- Deepen technical understanding to support long-term artistic growth

Vamoosh String Workshop
When: 19/04/26
Time: 10:30AM-12:45PM
Where: Royal Academy of MusicJoin Thomas Gregory and Rachel Cooper for a fun-filled morning of music-making. The workshop starts at 11am and will conclude with a small concert at 12:45pm.
This Workshop is for any child who is learning a string instrument (Violin, Viola, Cello or Double Bass) at about the level of Grade 2. (You do not need to have taken the exam.)
We will be looking at items from Vamoosh Book 2 and 2.5, plus a new piece written especially for the occasion. You do not need to prepare any music in advance.
The workshop will be led by Thomas Gregory (the creator of Vamoosh) and award winning Violin teacher, Rachel Cooper (Benedetti Foundation, Music Masters.)
Stringers of London will have a stand selling Vamoosh books and essential accessories for Violin, Viola and Cello.Please arrive from 10:30am. Cellists and bassists must remember to bring chairs and end-pin stoppers as necessary.
Parents or designated carers are required to remain in the hall for the duration of the event.

Cello Day 2026

Where: Royal Academy of MusicThe British Cello Society is pleased to present CelloDay 2026, a celebration of all things cello. Come along for a day of imaginative music-making with your cello friends. Our theme is “Cello Roots”, finding our beginnings in the folk music of our ancestors.
Stringers of London will have a stand selling essential cello accessories.Open to all cellists up to and including age 18.
Lunch is not provided. Students may bring a packed lunch or eat in the surrounding nearby restaurants.
