Rudolf began working in wood at the age of fifteen, fascinated by the possibilities of making beautiful things from natural materials. A degree in design in the early 1970’s rounded off formal education during which time, under the tutelage of Wilfred Saunders, a violin maker working in Nottingham, Rudolf made his first violin. Since then Rudolf has cemented himself in the UK as a well respected instrument and bow maker, his creations regularly gracing concert venues across the UK.
